Who are we ?

Conservation Lac Brome (CLB) is a non-profit citizen organization, founded in 2001, dedicated to monitoring, protecting and improving the health of Brome Lake and its watershed. CLB is overseen by a board of directors of 12 volunteer members and also calls on biologists, project managers, a communications officer as well as interns who join the team during the summer to participate in its field work.

CLB's participation in the numerous environmental programs overseen by the Ministry of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change gives rigor, credibility and supervision to its approach and its interventions while giving it access to experts.

CLB works with municipal councils and watershed organizations to ensure that Brome Lake and its tributaries allow users to indulge in their favorite activities without worrying for their health and habitats remaining viable for the flora and fauna that live there.

Mission

Mission

Brome Lake Conservation (CLB) ensures that citizens, municipalities and governments are made aware of the importance of putting an end to practices conducive to the contamination and deterioration of the quality of the water in the lake and its tributaries. CLB also carries out the scientific studies and follow-ups required to keep the lake healthy and allow its users to practice their favorite activities without worry.

Meet our team

Conservation Lac Brome is administered by volunteers who are first and foremost professionals and enthusiasts who work to improve the water quality of Lake Brome and its watershed. The members of the board of directors are supported by the project team.

Partners

CLB benefits from the financial support of several organizations.

Without them, several projects could not see the light of day.
